I get what you mean about baby shampoo being drying, i use it and i end up having to condition them as well to make them soft again! Is this bad for my brushes? Where did you buy the shampoo in the video?

I use anti bac washing up liquid and olive oil and it works a treat. brushes come out bacteria and gunge free and the olive oil makes them incredibly soft.

My favourite way to wash my brushes is the way Michelle Phan does it. Pour washing up liquid and olive oil on a plate. Swirl the brushes in the mixture and rinse. Baby shampoo has no anti bacterial ingredients so there is no point in using it. But the olive oil replenishes the brushes after the washing up liquid.
Also, it is recommended not to dry brushes on a towel as it can create mildew on the bristles . Hope I helped

Great video Amy, thanks!
It’s hard to know sometimes were you are going with things like brush cleaning, so putting them in a bowl with washing up liquid overnight when you were younger and inexperienced wouldn’t seem that extraordinary if you didn’t know any different! You know better than most then the damage that can be caused! Have you tried the E.L.F brush cleaner yet? xxx
